One of our group was baptized in the Jordan River. DAY 9 - We then travel to SEPPHORIS which was a thriving city in Jesus' day six miles outside of NAZARETH. A first century road with cart ruts.
Traveling on, we come to the ruins at Megiddo (Armageddon). A stone manger. Further on is Mt. Carmel.
DAY 10 - Herod's harbor city of CAESAREA, the home of Pontius Pilate, Felix and Festus, where Paul was imprisoned for two years. A huge aqueduct built by Herod the Great, and expanded by the Romans. The outdoor theater built by Herod the Great as a show piece about 20 B.C.
The theater is where Herod Agrippa I was struck with worms in Acts 12. Read Edward's recollections about Caesarea. DAY 11 - After flying to Rome for the night, we fly the next morning to ATHENS, Greece. This is the Acropolis from the bus. The Olympic Stadium.
Athens in the background. We ascend the Acropolis to see the Parthenon (one of the Seven Wonders of the World). Our photograph.
