Children: Melanie Simpson (married to Michael Simpson) with two grandchildren: Julia Taylor Simpson and Ezekiel ("Zeke") Locke Simpson; Jeremy (married to Kristy Lang) with one grandchild: Brynna Hollis Fudge.
Church involvement: Active member, and served in
the roles of elder and Sunday School teacher, Bering Drive Church of Christ, Houston, Texas, since 1982.
